Content Creators of Kerala conducts programs to enhance the technical skills of YouTubers and aspiring influencers. On July 8th, 2020, the President of of CCOK, Robince N C, shared his expertise in the topic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and its importance.

The lecture cum workshop gave the audience a thorough overview of the workings of SEO which is important to enhance the visibility of the website, channel or other online content. Robince focused on creating keywords that are short and easily searchable which will give higher optimization. The speaker emphasized on the writing/creating simple and effective titles as a means of SEO. The linking of content created to articles, websites, videos etc is also essential for optimum success and growth. Using visuals, photographs along with keywords will increase traffic and search options. The speaker, Robince, drew attention to the importance of categorization of content and presentation. Suggestions and inputs to increase visibility through social media was also dealt with The session was very productive and opened new ways of understanding the potential of social media and to become more visible.


The attractive title page and thumbnails have a key role in attracting audience to view the work of YouTubers and influencers. Hakeem Samsuddin, a member of Content Creators of Kerala, conducted a session on THE BASICS OF PHOTOSHOP The audience were introduced the photoshop, the tools to be used to move and select visuals. The speaker explained the various methods in using text typography. The session also covered the importance of creating effective thumbnails, the use of camera effects and the nuances of colour grading. The session by Hakkeem Samsuddin was highly informative and skill enhancing.

CCOK Link Maholsavam: Linking to Grow

The members of Content Creators of Kerala work towards quality improvement and skill development. In connection with this ideology, CCOK organized a Link Maholsavam and Discussion on channels. The influencers shared the links of their channels and highlighted the unique features of their channels. The experiences shared by the participants led to sessions on constructive criticism on the improving the overall quality of their channels. This Maholsavam was an unique attempt by CCOK as each participant was also the host of the session. CCOK in this attempt strengthened itself and its member influencers.

 

Art of Make-up

An impressive looking presenter will always win the best audience. Looking one's best is an everyday struggle for many influencers. CCOK organised a session on the Art of Make-up by Arun Acharya on 3rd September, 2021. The speaker, Arun Acharya gave a thorough introduction to Make-up and the different types make-up available in the market. While focusing on the different skin types and the most suitable make-up for specific skin types, the participants were introduced to the make-up materials currently in vogue. The session's speaker also provided a walk through on the Old Age Make-up. The participants were introduced to the simple make-up kit tips and tricks to enhance the influencer's looks. The Q&A session was very interactive and interesting with many queries raised and suggestions were given.

 

Transgenders: An Eye Opener

The world is populated with human beings with many differences. Accepting and understanding these differences creates a better world for all. The session titled "Know About Transgenders" by Anuja Sasidharan on 24th August, 2021 addressed the need to create an understanding and support system for transgenders. Questions raised and addressed by the session included gender, gender identity, transgender, transsexuals and their lives. The questions and misconceptions regarding the treatment for people of the third gender. The attitude of the society and in particular the medical fraternity was highlighted on. The session was an eye opener for many as the in depth discussions provided the much needed information towards the understanding of the world and people around us.

 

Brand Marketing and Social Media

Social media is the most powerful mode of communication today. Ajay Shankar conducted a session on Brand Marketing and Social Media on 9th September, 2021 for the members of CCOK. A channel or a page is like any other product which requires marketing and promotion . In doing so, the influencer will be able to create a Brand or a unique product. The session focused on the most important strategy of unique selling point while covering other strategies such as emotional marketing, skilled marketing and hard work marketing. Brand creation is ultimately the need of the hour and marketing is a way to increase the value of the brand. The session underlined the importance of brand creation and how it is also applicable to social media and the influencers who want to become a recognized Brand.

 

Positive Thinking: A fulfilled Life

People have so many unanswered questions, many battles to fight and win in the journey of life. A social media influencer can prove to be a fountain of hope to many through their positive presentations and influence. Leelu Teacher focused on Positive Thinking in the session conducted on 29th September, 2021. In the session on Positive Thinking, Leelu Teacher highlighted the Four Pillars of Life which are health, wealth, good relationships and happiness. The importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, food habits and physical activity was discussed. The focus then moved on the nurturing a healthy mind through practicing mindfulness, meditation, praying and reading. Teacher shared with the participants the seven ways to meditate and gave the much needed guidance to a better mental health. The session touched on the most famous law of attraction, visualisation and affirmation. The session was a productive and positive session for the participants.

 

Different Cooking Styles: An Overview

Humans are the only species on this Earth who have the ability to cook food, make the food flavoursome and enjoy eating the cooked food. The intelligence of humans is clearly seen in the many cooking styles that has been invented. Edwin Johny shared his expertise and views in the session Different Cooking Styles conducted by CCOK on 21st September, 2021. The session introduced the participants to the several methods and styles of cooking which included roasting or baking, broiling, frying, steaming, boiling, simmering, braising, poaching, blanching, grilling, sauteing and searing. The speaker emphasized on the use of the correct cooking style that has to be used for cooking vegetables or meat. The method or style used will help in deriving the nutritional value of the vegetables or meat. The common mistakes in the cooking processes were highlighted and methods to rectify the same discussed. A well cooked , nutritional meal binds the mind, body and soul and makes a person healthy. An awareness was created among the participants about the simplicity of cooking in different styles.

 

Healthy Food habits and Social Commitments of Vloggers

Constant lifestyle changes have impacted the food that we consume. Milu George conducted a session on Healthy Food habits and Social Commitments of Vloggers on 12th September, 2021 for members of CCOK. The session began with the introduction to food and the types of food that is recommended for consumption. Food that renews life, has a refreshingly new and novel taste, provides complete nutrients, enhances the natural balance of life force and that is digestable is the type of food that one should consume. The three type of foods as defined by ancient wisdom include Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic foods. Differentiated by the quality and effect the foods have on the human body, mind and spirit, the foods were introduced and its importance was discussed by the speaker. The differences of the food habits practiced by our ancestors and the modern generation was highlighted in the session. The use of refined, processed and modified foods in the modern times and the harm it has caused was discussed. The speaker went on to enlighten the audience on the importance of using traditional cooking utensils made from natural elements and its benefits at the end of the session. The participants of the session learned to look at food as source of nourishment of source of life, rather than just for taste.
